EUGENE -- For Steve Greatwood, his old memories hold no bearing on Saturday's matchup between his current team and his former program.
The matchup's too tough, he said, and the game too important to think of anything else but the challenge at hand.
Greatwood, who grew up in Eugene and played and coached at Oregon for more than 30 years before the UO staff was let go following a 4-8 season in 2016, returns to Autzen Stadium on Saturday night as a visitor in his first season as Cal's offensive line coach. And Greatwood's line, whose 25 combined starts entering the season were the fewest in the Pac-12, will have its hands full.
