EUGENE -- Without quarterback Justin Herbert, whose fractured collarbone will keep the sophomore out for a large chunk, if not all, of Oregon's seven remaining regular-season games, UO won't starkly alter its game plan for Saturday's matchup with No. 11 Washington State, co-offensive coordinator Marcus Arroyo said.
Arroyo expressed confidence in backups Taylor Alie, a senior, and Braxton Burmeister, a true freshman. Freshman walk-on Mike Irwin would be another option deeper down the depth chart, along with freshman Demetri Burch, who practiced at QB during fall camp before switching positions. Burch is back taking repetitions at QB this week.
