Watch: Who will be Oregon's next football coach? Get to know the potential candidates

Willie Taggart has left the University of Oregon to become the head football coach at Florida State. Taggart will succeed Jimbo Fisher, who resigned to become Texas A&M's coach last week.

Oregon Director of Athletics, Rob Mullens, released a statement confirming Taggart's decision to leave.

"We thank Willie for his efforts at Oregon, and we wish him and his family all the best in the future," said Mullens. "The University of Oregon is a high-caliber academic institution with one of the premier college football programs in the country, and we are confident that we will find another outstanding coach to lead our tremendous group of student-athletes into the future.
