EUGENE -- Washington's College Football Playoff aspirations were alive and well as Peyton Henry lined up for a 37-yard field goal.
Locked in a 24-24 tie with seconds remaining at Autzen Stadium, Henry had a chance to silence the raucous crowd and secure a sixth consecutive win for the Huskies. But the left-footed Henry pulled the kick wide right, sending Saturday's Pac-12 showdown into overtime.
No. 17 Oregon took advantage of the second chance, answering a made Henry field goal with CJ Verdell's six-yard touchdown burst that sealed a 30-27 victory. The seventh-ranked Huskies (5-2, 3-1), now out of the CFP picture, no longer control their own destiny in the muddled Pac-12 North.
