EUGENE, Ore. – Four personal bests has freshman Max Vollmer in first place of the decathlon after day one of competition at the Pac-12 Multi-Events Championships in Tucson, Ariz. Through five events, he leads the way with 4,113 points with teammate Dalen Hargett sitting in seventh place. Day two of the decathlon begins Sunday at 4 p.m. with the 110-meter hurdles.
The Ducks are also in scoring position in the heptathlon where sophomore Keira McCarrell is eighth with 3,118 points through four events. Saturday also featured a trio of wins for the men's distance crew at the Linfield Open in McMinnville, Ore.
