Vernon Adams Lands With CFL, Signs Three Year Deal With Montreal

Last week word came that former Oregon Ducks Quarterback Vernon Adams would be traded from the BC Lions to Montreal. It was good faith trade in that the Lions are already stacked at Quarterback and Montreal may have a need for one, with an aging QB at the helm as Starter this season. The trade was made and over the weekend Adams saw something that he had not in the US with the NFL. He saw a contract.

Montreal signed Vernon Adams to a three year deal. It was a gamble according to Yahoo Sports Canada since BC gave up a 2017 First Round Draft pick on the former Oregon QB, but the CFL plays differently than the NFL and the move should pay off.
