EUGENE, Ore. – After rushing for 111 yards and scoring Oregon's game-winning touchdown in overtime last Saturday against No. 7 Washington, redshirt freshman running back CJ Verdell has been named the Pac-12 Conference Offensive Player of the Week.
Verdell powered an Oregon offense that rushed for 177 yards, the most allowed by the Huskies' defense this season. The Ducks' freshman capped the victory with a 6-yard touchdown run to give Oregon a 30-27 win. Verdell scored a pair of touchdowns in the win with the first, a 1-yard run, giving Oregon a 24-17 lead in the third quarter.
