EUGENE, Ore. – After leading the Oregon volleyball team to a pair of wins to kick off conference play over the weekend, Lindsey Vander Weide and Ronika Stone have been named the Pac-12 defensive and offensive players of the week, the conference announced on Monday.
Vander Weide's Pac-12 defensive player of the week honor comes after a milestone weekend in which the UO senior paced the Ducks to wins over Oregon State and No. 22 Washington State with her fourth and fifth double-doubles of the year.
Vander Weide racked up a career-high 28 digs on Sunday against the Cougars and surpassed 1,000 for her career, becoming only the fifth Duck in program history to have 1,000 career kills and digs.
