USTFCCCA selects Oregon Ducks junior Raevyn Rogers as women's track athlete of the year

Five-time NCAA 800-meter champion Raevyn Rogers was named women's outdoor track athlete of the year by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Coaches Association on Wednesday.

In an eventful year, Rogers won her second NCAA indoor 800 title indoors and her third NCAA outdoor title. She set the collegiate record in the 800 of 1 minute, 59.10 seconds.

At last week's NCAA outdoor championships, she anchored the Ducks' 4x400 relay to a come-from-behind, first-place finish that clinched Oregon's team title. Rogers' split was 49.77.

Others honored by the USTFCCCA include Arizona State's Maggie Ewen as women's outdoor field athlete of the year.
