EUGENE -- Lilli Burdon isn't happy with her last race, a 1,500-meter effort at the Bryan Clay Invitational, two weeks ago in Azusa, California.
Objectively speaking, it wasn't a bad performance.
Burdon finished sixth in 4 minutes, 12.52 seconds in a field that included Bowerman Track Club Olympians Shelby Houlihan, Colleen Quigley and Kate Grace.. But Burdon thought she was primed for a better time.
"I kind of missed the start and went through way slower than I was anticipating," she said. "I was expecting it to be a really fast, aggressive race, which it could have been.
