Former University of Oregon star English Gardner will return to her collegiate home for this year's Prefontaine Classic women's 100 meters.
Gardner is the defending Prefontaine Classic champion in the 100, and the reigning USATF champion after winning the 100 at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Trials. She has an Olympic gold medal for being part of Team USA's 4x100, which won last summer in Rio.
Gardner will tangle with, among others, eight-time Olympic medalist Veronica Campbell-Brown and Tianna Bartoletta, who won 2016 Olympic gold in the long jump and was another member of the Team USA 4x100 in Rio.
