To me, this is somewhat surprising. Bailey Jr. has been with Oregon for several seasons and has had a hand in the success of the program over the last few seasons, including helping get the team into the NCAA Tournament this past season.
Victor Bailey, Jr. averaged 7 points and 2 rebounds per game averaging about 20 minutes of floor time per game. He may have seen the writing on the wall and decided that splitting time on the court was not the way to go for his final two seasons. Bailey Jr., as it stands, would be sharing the floor with Payton Pritchard, Will Richardson, and likely Chris Duarte.
