Per Coach Cristobal’s press conference, two injured Ducks will miss the entirety of the 2019 season. Sophomore linebacker Adrian Jackson and true freshman wide receiver J.R. Waters.
Both players suffered foot injuries during fall practice so thus were unavailable for the game on Saturday.
Waters’ injury leaves an already dangerously depleted receiver corps even more perilously thin. There’s more depth in the linebacker group but not by much. Some young guys like M.J. Cunningham and Tre’ven Ma’ae will have to step up in Jackson’s absence.
As a result of all the injuries at wide receiver position, Daewood Davis has moved back after practicing as a defensive back during the spring and fall.
