EUGENE, Ore. – Two Oregon golfers, sophomore Aaron Wise and freshman Edwin Yi, will compete at the 2015 U.S. Amateur Championship next week. The championship is set for Aug. 17-23 at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields, Ill.
Wise is coming off an impressive freshman campaign at Oregon that saw the Lake Elsinore, Calif., native pick up individual titles at the Ka’anapali Classic and the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate. In July, Wise held off a deep field to win the Pacific Coast Amateur at Eugene Country Club before advancing to the final round of the Western Amateur Championship last week.
