EUGENE, Ore. — A matchup of top-five programs lived up to its billing Friday at Matthew Knight Arena, as No. 5 Oregon and No. 2 Azusa Pacific went back and forth throughout their meet before the Ducks used a season-best performance in the team event to clinch the win, 280.850-279.780.
Oregon (2-2) won for the second meet in a row, improved its overall score for the second meet in a row and set season highs in four of the six events.
"I think today boosted their confidence 100 percent," UO coach Taylor Susnara said.
