SAN FRANCISCO – The reigning indoor and outdoor national champions started the 2016 outdoor track and field season in impressive fashion last weekend at the Willie Williams Classic and three Ducks were recognized with Pac-12 weekly awards.
Redshirt sophomore Devon Allen was named the men’s track athlete of the week. It was a big weekend for the dual-sport star who won three individual races. After winning the 200-meter race in a time of 20.79 on Friday, the sixth-fastest time in school history, Allen handily won the 110-meter hurdles on Saturday, running 13.40 into a headwind. He then finished the day by winning the open 100 meters in a time of 10.
