Arguably the state’s greatest all-around female athlete, the tough, physical Brenner was the Class 6A basketball player of the year as a senior, a two-time volleyball player of the year, two-time state champion in the shot, first-team all-state in softball as a sophomore (before forgoing her last two seasons) and a world youth racquetball champion.
