Harry Marra, who has guided Ashton Eaton to two Olympic gold medals and the world decathlon record, was honored Friday in Monte Carlo for coaching achievement by the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF).
Harra began coaching Eaton at the University of Oregon, and continued coaching Eaton and Oregon alum Brianne Theisen-Eaton after they turned professional.
Eaton won Olympic gold in 2012 and 2016 and owns the world record.
Theisen-Eaton, Eaton's wife, is a Canadian citizen and a Eugene resident. She won bronze at the 2016 Olympics in the heptathlon.
At the 2016 World Indoor Championships in the Oregon Convention Center, Eaton captured the heptathlon and Theisen-Eaton the pentathlon.
