Shelby Houlihan, Colleen Quigley and Kate Grace of the Bowerman Track Club opened the outdoor season in impressive fashion Friday night at the Bryan Clay Invitational by dusting the collegians in the top section of the women's 1,500 meters.
They went 1-2-3, Houlihan winning in 4 minutes, 06.7 seconds, a stadium record at Azusa Pacific by more than eight seconds.
She was followed across the finish line by Quigley in 4:07.01 and Grace in 4:08.82. Oregon's Jessica Hull was fourth in 4:10.46.
It was a strong way to strong way to begin outdoors.
Hull's time, by the way, is a personal record by nearly three seconds and moves her to No.
