The nation was buzzing after the instant classic between Oregon and Ohio State on October 12th. What was billed as one of the biggest matchups of 2024 definitely lived up to the hype as the Ducks edged the Buckeyes 32-31.
It’s been over a week now, Oregon moved forward with a 35-0 drubbing of Purdue, while the Buckeyes, it seems, could do nothing during their bye week but refuse to accept defeat.
Almost immediately following the game, Ohio State’s own Athletic Director asked the NCAA to amend the rules that allowed Oregon coach Dan Lanning to strategically leave 12 men on the field, helping to run time off the clock in exchange for minimal yardage, a move that was actually praised by former Buckeye coach and college legend Urban Meyer.
