In 2024, Oregon softball looked to ride the backs of their highly veteran players to make another stab at a deep postseason run. What transpired instead was a puzzling season where the Ducks would not come anywhere near last season’s trip to the Super Regional.

Oregon’s record was 15-8 in nonconference play. What we saw in nonconference play was that the Ducks could play competitively, but only to a point. When faced against high ranking competition, they did not play at last year’s level and would falter.
