EUGENE, Ore. – Jace Stoffal tossed a career-high seven innings and allowed just one run as Oregon completed the sweep of Arizona with a 5-3 win in the regular season finale.
Prior to Saturday's game, Stoffal's career-high in innings pitched was 4.2 but he advanced into the eighth inning to pick up his first career win. The sophomore tied his career-high with three strikeouts while giving up just three hits and a walk.
"Jace Stoffal set the tone today," Oregon head coach Mark Wasikowski said. "He was throwing four pitches for strikes and locating the ball.
