Statistically speaking: Oregon rushing offense, defense regressing

SALT LAKE CITY -- Two of the pillars of Oregon's identity, rushing offense and stopping the run, are regressing following a third straight road loss.

Oregon had just 117 yards on the ground in its 32-25 loss to Utah, which is stout against the run, and dropped to 62nd nationally in rushing offense (171.6 yards per game). The backbone of Oregon's offense, running the ball, is on pace for the worst performance for the program since 2005.

Meanwhile the defense allowed yet another banner day by an opposing running back, as Utes backup Armand Shyne's career-high 174 yards led Utah to 232 rushing yards and two touchdowns.
