EUGENE, Ore. – Oregon track and field is steeped in tradition when it comes to men’s distance greats such as Steve Prefontaine and Galen Rupp, but at the moment, it’s the recent tradition of top class women’s sprinters who are leaving their mark on the national and international scene.
Three Oregon athletes qualified for the World Championships in August by finishing in the top six of the women’s 100. Current Ducks Jenna Prandini and Jasmine Todd stormed through the semifinals along with former Duck English Gardner who ran the seventh-fastest time in U.S. history in 10.
