Oregon held No. 22 UCLA scoreless for most of the match and took a 1-0 lead in the 77th minute, but the Bruins rallied with two late goals, including a penalty kick, to secure a 2-1 victory Saturday night at Papé Field.

This was the Big Ten opener for both teams.

Recap

Oregon (4-4, 0-1) had the first major scoring chance in the 15th minute when Haley McWhirter connected with a header from a Cameron Bourne cross, forcing UCLA goalkeeper Ryan Campbell into a diving save to keep the game level.

The Bruins (6-2-1, 1-0-0) responded with heavy pressure for the remainder of the first half, launching 16 shots.
