EUGENE -- Oregon is aiming to be more physical inside, particularly at rebounding, and improve its ball handling and Eastern Washington, another much smaller team, should provide an opportunity to make those adjustments.
Despite several dominant stretches in Tuesday's 84-57 season-opening win over Portland State, Oregon lost the rebounding battle (41-38) and committed 14 turnovers.
The Ducks will certainly have the vertical edge tonight against Eastern Washington (6 p.m., Pac-12 Network), which was routed 66-34 at Syracuse and has just one player as tall as 6-foot-9. That pales in comparison to Oregon's posts, which include the 7-foot-2 Bol Bol and 6-foot-9 forwards Paul White, Kenny Wooten and Francis Okoro.
