FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The University of Oregon track and field team capped its productive season opener at the Razorback Invitational on Saturday with six wins, two school records and 12 NCAA top-10 season marks.
Freshman and Portland, Ore., native Micah Williams ran an NCAA-leading and UO record 6.56 to win the 60 meters, leading a 1-4-6 showing in the event for the Ducks. His time surpassed the previous record of 6.57 shared by Kyree King and Cravon Gillespie. Williams' time doubles as the second-fastest time in the world this season.
Williams was the top performer in the prelims with a time of 6.
