The Oregon Ducks lost two defensive linemen Tuesday, but it didn't take long to find a replacement.
During the early morning hours of the early signing period, Oregon signed 247Sports three-star junior college defensive tackle Sione Vea Kava, who chose the Ducks over offers from Arizona State, Georgia, Hawaii, Nevada, Ole Miss, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, Syracuse and others.
The 6-foot-6, 270-pound man in the middle, out of East Los Angeles College (California) immediately replaces the loss of fellow three-star junior college defensive tackle Mohamed Diallo, who re-opened his recruitment less than 24 hours prior.
Because Vea has signed a national letter of intent with Oregon, the announcement was legally made by Oregon coach Mario Cristobal:

Vea is the reigning state defensive player of the year (region IV) in the junior college ranks, according to ELAC head coach Bobby Godinez, and should provide Oregon will some much-needed depth up front.
