EUGENE, Ore. – Jaz Shelley has been named the Pac-12 freshman of the week for her historic performance in last week's win over UC Riverside, the conference announced on Monday.
Shelley was firing on all cylinders last Monday in Matthew Knight Arena, breaking the UO single-game record with 10 made three-pointers while piling up a career-high 32 points. Shelley finished 10-of-14 from beyond the arc, besting the previous program record of nine.
The Moe, Australia, native became the first UO freshman to score 30-plus points in a game since 2013-14, and her 10 made threes are the second most of any player in the nation this season.
