EUGENE, Ore. — On a night the opposition wasn't about to let N'Faly Dante have his way in the post, Oregon's shooters stepped up.
Portland packed the paint defensively Saturday, and the UO men's basketball team responded by making 12-of-22 three-point attempts in a 78-56 victory at Matthew Knight Arena. The Ducks (7-5) shot 53.1 percent overall while holding the Pilots to 37.7 percent shooting — including 5-of-23 from three-point range.
"We have Dante; most teams are going to double-team him if they're smart," said Rivaldo Soares, who made 4-of-5 threes on the night.
