DALLAS – Reigning Outland Trophy winner Penei Sewell and senior defensive tackle Jordon Scott were both named to the award's preseason watch list released on Tuesday by the Football Writer's Association (FWAA). The Outland Trophy recognized the nation's top interior lineman.
Sewell became the first player in program history and the first Polynesian to win the Outland Trophy in 2019, while Scott has been on the award's watch list each of the past three seasons. Oregon is one of seven programs (Alabama, BYU, Clemson, Pitt, Texas, USC) with an offensive and defensive lineman on the watch list.
