Second Straight Comeback Gives Ducks Series Win

HONOLULU – For the second day in a row, Oregon erased a deficit in the late innings, coming away with an 8-7 win to take the series at Hawaii Sunday at Les Murakami Stadium.

Aaron Zavala tied the game in the top of the ninth with a two-run double and Tanner Smith drove in the winning run on a run-scoring single while Robert Ahlstrom shut out the Rainbow Warriors over the final two innings to get the win.

How it Happened: After Gabe Matthews led off the ninth with his fourth hit of the day on a single and Jakob Goldfarb followed with a double, Zavala scored pinch-runner Marco Young and Goldfarb with a two-RBI double to left field.
