Oregon women’s golf head coach Ria Scott has announced the signing of two top recruits in Amy Matsuoka and Daniele Giles.
Matsuoka hails from Newport Beach, Calif. and as a member of the Corona del Mar High School girl’s golf team, she medaled in her first nine matches with a cumulative score of 20-under par. On the junior circuit, she is the first person to have back-to-back wins at the AJGA Lockton Kansas City Junior Championships, which she did in 2013 and 2014. She was named an AJGA Rolex All-American Honorable Mention in 2013 and collected a third place finish at the Callaway Junior World Championships that same year.
