EUGENE -- Matthew Knight Arena was a powder keg, and Sabrina Ionescu its match.
In front of a one-sided crowd Sunday, the Pac-12's player of the year was the catalyst in a one-sided victory that sent the Oregon Ducks to their second consecutive NCAA Tournament Sweet 16.
A tornado in yellow knee pads, Ionescu made driving layups, spot-up jumpers and and-ones in traffic as part of a 29-point, nine-assist, seven-rebound performance in UO's home finale, a 101-73 win over 10th-seeded Minnesota. En route, she busted the Pac-12 single-season record for assists (284) and school record for points in an NCAA Tournament game.
