Royce Freeman posts solid NFL debut for Denver Broncos

The Denver Broncos, clinging to a three-point lead, wanted to run as much time off the clock as they could during their final possession in the fourth quarter of their 27-24 Week 1 win over the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.

The Broncos took possession of the football with 3:28 remaining in the game and called on former Oregon Ducks star and current NFL rookie Royce Freeman to get the job done.

Freeman didn't disappoint, gaining 37 of his 71 yards on four carries. He ran for a first down on two separate carries to help the Broncos maintain possession while forcing the Seahawks to use all three of their second half timeouts.
