Rhodes' Home Run Lifts Ducks Past Hofstra in Extras

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Shannon Rhodes hit a go-ahead home run in the top of the 11th and Miranda Elish threw seven terrific innings in relief on Saturday morning as the No. 6 ranked Oregon softball team outlasted Hofstra, 2-1, in 11 innings at JoAnne Graf Field.

Oregon (17-3) has now won seven straight games and is 3-0 this weekend at the Unconquered Invitational. The Ducks will take a break before facing Florida Gulf Coast at 2:30 p.m. PT in their sixth game in the last three days.

How it Happened: Hits were few and far between for both teams early on, as Oregon sophomore Maggie Balint and Hosftra pitcher Sarah Cornell each allowed just two hits through the first four innings.
