EUGENE, Ore. — It was a record-setting afternoon Sunday at Jane Sanders Stadium, as the No. 5 Oregon softball team completed a sweep of No. 17 Arizona with an 8-0 victory before a sellout crowd of 2,517.
UO senior Cheridan Hawkins set a school record with her 32nd career shutout, and her second of the weekend as the Ducks blanked a Pac-12 opponent in all three games for the first time since the conference went to the current scheduling format in 2010. Hawkins also won her 100th career game, tying Jess Moore’s school record.
