EUGENE, Ore. – The University of Oregon men's track and team secured its second national qualifier—and first of the week—in Dalton Rasmussen on day one of the NCAA West Preliminary. The Ducks also advanced 13 runners out of Wednesday's first round including all four of their entries in the 1,500 meters.
Rasmussen was the Ducks' first qualifier of the week by way of an eighth-place finish in the javelin. He finished with a day's best of 66.33m/217-7 from his first-round attempt and maintained a top-12 spot to advance to the NCAA Championships (June 9-12) at Hayward Field.
