World was originally recruited to Nevada in 2021 as a low 3-star (.8322) in the 24/7 composite. World didn’t see the field that year, which was head coach Jay Norvell’s fifth in Reno and the Wolfpack’s fourth consecutive bowl season. It’s normal for offensive linemen to redshirt in their first year of course, but Nevada hardly needed a true freshman as they were well situated for tackles in 2021, with both returning starters at the position earning back-to-back conference honors — Jacob Gardner on the left side and Aaron Frost on the right — plus established older backups Grant Starck and Trey Hamilton who got substantial playing time.
