The offensive line has been up and down this season, which was expected after the loss of a couple valuable seniors. One guy who has helped a ton is transfer Matt Hegarty, and he joined The Oregonian podcast yesterday. Fun guy!
The easy thing to do would be to compare him to DeAnthony Thomas...but, boy, he sure looks like him. Taj Griffin ignited the offense last Saturday, and figures to be a key component going forward. A quarterbacks best friend, you might say.
