SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico — Sedona Prince and the USA Basketball Women's AmeriCup Team won the gold medal at the 2021 FIBA AmeriCup on Saturday with a 74-59 victory over Puerto Rico in the title game.
The U.S. finished a perfect 6-0 at the FIBA AmeriCup while outscoring opponents by 35.2 points per game, advancing to one of four 2022 FIBA World Cup Qualifying Tournaments that will determine the 12 teams to reach the 2022 FIBA World Cup.
Prince averaged 6.2 points and 3.7 rebounds per game with seven blocked shots across six games.
