In the transition from Willie Taggart to Mario Cristobal, the Oregon Ducks football program lost eight four-star commitments, sending its class from consensus top-7 status to coming dangerously close to falling outside the nation's top 20.
So, at least part of Cristobal's job in the march to Signing Day on February 7 is re-securing a few of the key commitments Oregon lost during the coaching change.
Cristobal took a big step forward in that aim this weekend, solidifying the still-committed four-star tight end Spencer Webb.
But that may not be the only splash from this weekend.
