WACO, Texas — Jackson Powers-Johnson joined an elite and exclusive group of Ducks on Thursday morning, becoming the fifth player in program history to earn unanimous all-America status after being named to the first team by the American Football Coaches Association (AFCA).
The first-team honor by the AFCA was the fifth and final needed by Oregon's center to earn unanimous all-America status, following selections by the Walter Camp Foundation, Football Writers Association of America (FWAA), Associated Press and Sporting News.
Powers-Johnson is Oregon's first unanimous all-American since 2021, joining program legends LaMichael James (2010), Marcus Mariota (2014), Penei Sewell (2019) and Kayvon Thibodeaux (2021) as the only UO players ever to earn the distinction.
