The fallout continues over the renovation of Hayward Field so the University of Oregon's 99-year-old stadium can host the 2021 World Outdoor Track & Field Championships.
I wrote this story for The Oregonian/OregonLive website about the controversy that has flared over the secrecy of the project, and concerns the scale of the renovation could make the stadium too grand for practical use after the World Championships.
The R-G had this piece that referred to the controversy as a clash of past and future.
Both stories noted plans reportedly call for the stadium's east grandstand to be razed.
