Based on early results, it will be strength on strength in the top of each inning this weekend at PK Park.

The No. 11 Oregon baseball team (6-1) will host UC Santa Barbara beginning Friday at 3 p.m., after first pitch was moved up three hours from 6 p.m. due to a forecast of rain. The Gauchos (8-1) are 14th among the 287 NCAA Division-I baseball team in hitting with a .341 team average, while the Ducks, coincidentally, are No. 14 in hits allowed per nine innings, 6.14.

UO weekend starters Cole Irvin, Matt Krook and David Peterson each went at least seven innings and allowed just two hits last week as the Ducks took three of four from Illinois State.
