The moment that many Ducks feared has finally come. According to The Idaho Press, “Andy Avalos is coming home.”
After two years as Oregon’s defensive coordinator, Avalos is returning to the program where he made a name for himself as a player and a defensive coordinator before Oregon hired him away after he defeated them in the 2017 Las Vegas Bowl, 38 to 28.
The coaching shift began when Auburn hired away former Broncos head coach Bryan Harsin. The Tigers were also interested in Mario Cristobal, and the large majority of Duck fans would prefer this outcome over the alternative.
