Amid rumblings that Oregon Ducks quarterback Justin Herbert is a potential No. 1 NFL draft pick next year, the program secured itself at least four more years of Herbert over the weekend, as younger brother Patrick Herbert committed to the Ducks.
The 6-foot-5, 225-pound pass-catcher, out of Sheldon High School, is destined to remain in Eugene, just like his older brother.
But his path to a college commitment was a much different journey.
An unheralded recruit in the class of 2016, Justin Herbert held offers from Northern Arizona, Montana State and Portland State when Oregon's quarterback plans on the recruiting trail fell through.
