Tim Susnara became the second Duck selected in the 2017 MLB Draft, as the Oregon catcher was selected in the eighth round by the Arizona Diamondbacks on Tuesday.
Pitcher David Peterson was picked with the 20th-overall pick by the New York Mets on Monday.
Susnara has been Oregon's full-time catcher for nearly three seasons, as the Redwood City, California native started 36 games behind the plate during his freshman year.
As a junior, Susnara hit .248 with a career-high five home runs to go along with 17 RBI. The 6-foot-1 right-hander was previously drafted by San Francisco in the 34th round coming out of high school.
