Oregon's Sabrina Ionescu a finalist for nation's top point guard and remains in hunt to be named the country's top player

Oregon Ducks sophomore Sabrina Ionescu remains in contention for a pair of national awards.

Ionescu on Monday was named one of five finalists for the Nancy Lieberman Award, given to the top point guard in women's college basketball. She is also one of 10 semifinalists for the Naismith Trophy, awarded to the nation's top player. In either group, Ionescu is the only underclassman.

In leading Oregon to its first conference title in 18 years, Ionescu is averaging a Pac-12-best 19.2 points and 7.8 assists and ranks in the conference's top-10 in three-point and free throw shooting, assist-to-turnover ratio and defensive rebounding and playing time.
