EUGENE -- Oregon's Payton Pritchard was named to the watch list for the Bob Cousy Point Guard of the Year award.
Pritchard, who averaged 14.5 points, 4.8 assists and 3.6 rebounds per game last season, is among 20 players on the preseason watch list announced by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame on Monday.
The candidate list, which can be changed throughout the season, will be narrowed to 10 players in mid-February and five finalists will be presented to Cousy and the Hall of Fame's selection in March. The winner will be named during the College Basketball Awards in Los Angeles on April 12.
